Please find listed below several frequently asked questions. If you don’t find what you need in these questions, you can always call us during office hours at 970-330-3671. We are happy to help out in any way we can!

  • WRA is a tuition free K – 8th grade Charter School.
  • Children entering kindergarten must be 5 by June 15. WRA’s kindergarten is a free, 5 day a week, full day program.
  • Start Time – The school day starts at 8:00 a.m. Students may be dropped off starting at 7:40 a.m. and are let into the building at 7:50 a.m. Students must be in their seats at 8:00 a.m. or they are considered tardy.
  • End Time – The school day ends at 3:30 p.m. WRA does not have any early release days and we attend school Monday through Friday.
  • Students must drop-off their cell phone in the office in the morning before classes start and may pick them up at the end of the school day on their way out the door.
  • Pick-Up and Drop-Off – WRA will be releasing the Pick-Up and Drop-Off procedures before school starts on September 5, 2017.
  • Weather Closure – If District 6 closes due to weather, then West Ridge Academy closes as well. Please follow us on Facebook, information about events for WRA will be posted on front page of our website. Confirmation of D6 closures are on www.greeleyschools.org and on Greeley Schools Facebook Page. Be Safe!! 🙂
  • WRA has a relaxed school-wide dress code. Click here to see WRA’s Dress Code and Policy.
  • Character education is very important at West Ridge Academy. There are eight pillars of virtue: community, compassion, gratitude, integrity, perseverance, respect, responsibility, and self-control. Students, teachers, and staff all uphold these virtues. Each month the students learn about a different pillar. At the end of the month there is an assembly to show case students who have shown upstanding character during the month.
  • K – 8th grades have music, Latin, art and P.E. classes several times a week. Once students reach 5th grade they may choose either choir or band to participate in.
  • WRA is a member of the Northern Colorado Independent League (NCIL) for Middle School Sports. Students, 6th – 8th grades, can participate in boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ basketball, girls’ volleyball, and boys’ and girls’ track and field.
  • Extracurricular activities including Chess Club, Art Club, Intramurals, Book Club, Lego Club, and Writing Club.
  • Lunch is provided daily from District 6 Food Services.
